The Rim Trail

The Rim Trail extends along Grand Canyon's
South Rim between Mather Point and Hermits
Rest. Passing through forests of pinon pine and
Utah juniper, the trail connects scenic viewpoints
that provide views of Grand Canyon and the
Colorado River. You can walk any part of the
Rim Trail, making your trip as long or short as
you like.

If you decide to walk, pace yourself, at this altitude
walking is strenuous. During peak seasons when
shuttle buses run you may want to ride a bus
west a suitable distance along the West Rim Drive,
then walk back on the trail.
