A Fine Idea Takes Root
Returning native plants to their
rightful place
In this dry climate, it can take as long as 40 years for
a tree to grow just 1 feet. Because each plant is so
precious, park employees and volunteers carefully
excavate them before any construction.
Trees and shrubs are replanted
after construction.
